Dental insurance....Which one had better covering???
You may need SSN for certain health benefits. Have
you taken a look at the MySimpleCard membership?
They include health and dental and they won't ask you
for the SSN as long as you can pay and have a valid
address in the USA. They have a fantastic network
in Southern California.
Reply:You might need a SSN to get health insurance. A little far from East L.A., but worth the trip to La Puente, CA. About 25 minutes from your place. Dr. Marin, very gentle and affordable. His website is www.doctormarin.com
Reply:dental insurance is not cheap. A personal one, not through a work place, usually--- is not worth the purchase price. The premium is more tha the benfit. What you are looking for- A policy that has benefits more than the premium.
40 a month x12 equal 480. The cost of a cleaning is 100 without xrays. 200- 240 with xrays. If you go once for a cleaning exam, and xrays- you save 200-240.
Some policies have a limit one what you can do for 12 months, some for 36 months. example- if you need a crown or a root canal , it is not covered for a year.
They word it- paid at 50% of ucr or a fee schedule.
The fee schedule can go like this.- they pay 100% of your cleaning based on their fee schedule. Your cleaning is 200. they allow 10. you owe 190 plus your premium to the insurance company. You need a rootcanal. They pay 50%
of UCR. (usual and customary- only they pick what that is.)
the dentists charges 800 for a molar root canal. You think okay I owe 400---- but they have UCR for a root canal at 100. they pay half of a 100or 50 and you owe 750. PLUS your deductable once. ie 50 deductible. You may qualify for governmant benefits- medicall medical and dental.. There may be a Church that has a health clinic. Lots of the Catholic churches run free clinics. Call your church and ask- call a medical office and ask. People in the business usually know where you can go for free.
