Dental Insurance to Get Wisdom Teeth Removed?

We don't have dental insurance. We have health insurance though, but I'm not sure if you can use that on wisdom teeth extractions? Anyway, I really need to get mine removed (well, I need an evaluation first too!) but I'm worried about the cost. I know I and my parents can't afford it straight up. I think our health insurance is with a company called Medcost Preferred, or that's what I can gather from my card. It also says Principal Financial Group and Caremark. That being said, what are some good companies to look into? My mom keeps forgetting to check into it.

Dental Insurance to Get Wisdom Teeth Removed?
get your mom to check into your medical insurance and see if they will cover part of it since some dentists will use anesthesia for wisdom teeth removal..some medical insurances will cover the costs and especially if its done in a hospital setting. This will cut the out of pocket costs way down.

Reply:You might want to look at getting a discount dental plan. They are very affordable ($12 - $20 a month) and save you 30-60% off on the average. Also, most of them cover pre-existing conditions. You can choose from numerous affordable dental discount plans by going to http://www.lowpriceddentalplans.com
