Do you know of a good dental insurance that covers braces?

I need a dental insurance that covers getting braces (in a adult not child). Do you know of one?

Lots of dental insurances cover orthodontia, most, however, have a lifetime maximum of usually about 2000.00. Private insuraance is expensive, and doesn't usually have a high routine maximum, and no coverage for orthodontia. This is for Canada. Not sure about the US.

Reply:I just got a FANTASTIC dental plan through my work via an option with my health insurance, even that one ONLY offers only a discount of 1,000.00 for braces and that is when a dental provider they say is approved for it. I don't know of ANY other insurance that offers ANY coverage on this. It is something that CAN and does have payment plans though.

My daughter had to have them and it cost over $4,000.00 total but I had to put some of the money upfront and the balance was paid at $120.00 a month. Talk to the orthodontist of this type of plan if you don't find insurance to cover it. I would ask about making some type of arrangement.
Reply:Private dental insurance is very expensive and usually doesn't cover pre-existing conditions. But, dental discount plans are very affordable and can save you 30-60% off on the average. Also, most of them cover pre-existing conditions. You can choose from numerous affordable dental discount plans by going to http://bestfitdentalplans.com and keying in your zip code to see which plans are available in your area.
