Experience with Blue Cross Dental Insurance?

I got a quote for just dental insurance from Blue Cross, has anyone used them before?

Experience with Blue Cross Dental Insurance?
I have a Blue Cross plan and my particular plan covers my regular check ups and some dental work very well. However, you need to be aware that each company has several different plans with different levels of coverage so check out the plan you want to buy. You need to think of more than just the monthly premium but also the deductables and what percentage you will be responsible for and also what level of coverage you will need ie: if you need extensive work or if you are more mature and may need dentures/fixtures soon. You should get a complete layout of the plan before making a commitment. I know its a long process..good luck!
Reply:Make sure you go to a provider for the company. They sometimes cut your benefits amount if you go out of network, they sometimes add more insult by paying a reduced amount, and they sometimes pay nothing if you ar enot at a provider. USe that word when you as provider don't let anyone say I can file that for you. it is a really big diffenrence.
Reply:Blue Cross offers quite a range of plans and policies.

First, be sure your plan is adminstered by Blue Cross and not some 3rd party adminstrator.

Secondly, your policy could be a PPO, HMO or regular indemnity plan, which could effect your copay, depending on whether you are seeing a participating dentist.

If you have any questions, contact your members services on your card.
Reply:Blue cross do offer quite different products. Personally I've never used them before.
