One of my molars hurts really bad, and I am most certian that I will need a root canal. I have medical insurance but not dental. Also, I only have about a hundred bucks. What should I do?
I don't have dental insurance, and I have a tooth ache?
Talk to your dentist to see if they have any kind of payment plan, there is a dental credit card out there called care credit that you can apply through your dentist.
Reply:I know you probably don't want to do this...but you can probably get it pulled for about a hundred bucks. Also, if you are on a fixed income, maybe you could look into getting insurance from the state, like Medicaid.
Reply:look for charitable organizations to help with the cost
Reply:well the stooges tied a string around it then to a door knob then slammed the door shut i actually tried this as a child and don't recomend it see a dentist and explain your situaion if there any good they will work something out with you
Reply:there is a dental plan that you can buy online that is a discount plan, i have it, and it really helps, i had a wisdom tooth removed and it was only 135 bucks, and it took forever for them to take it out. it is called national dicount plan, check them out you can only buy it online, if you have a credit card with anything available on it it is worth it, trust me, you could end up like i was and have an infection before they get the chance to remove it! not fun!
alot of the times they'll let you make payments too!

Reply:Contact me - I can get you quality dental, vision and prescription benefits for $11.95 per month with Ameri Plan. willieshac@yahoo.com
Reply:A root canal can cost upwards of $600, so I suggest you get it pulled, if needed. You may only have a deep cavity, in which case the dentist will layer the cavity with different filling materials and you'll still be able to keep the tooth. That's what happened to me last year.
